Fire/Emergency Procedure
Each tenant selects responsible people to be “Floor Wardens.” At least two individuals should be selected for every company. Full floor tenants should select at least four individuals per floor for this important responsibility. Floor Wardens are required to attend a yearly one-hour training session covering emergency procedures, given by the management office. They will also be given Floor Warden Caps and an Emergency Procedures manual. Please notify the management office by filling out the Tenant Emergency form whenever you have staff changes, so that we can update our list of Floor Wardens and schedule Floor Warden training for new personnel.
At least one practice drill is conducted each year, as required by Denver City code. We encourage full participation by building occupants. During a fire drill, interior doors should be closed, but not locked, and people should go all the way down the stairwells and outside the building to their company or department’s designated meeting place. If an actual fire or smoke is discovered before the building automatically goes into alarm, go to the nearest stairwell and pull the fire alarm located on the wall next to the door and direct people to immediately go down the stairwells and outside the building.
